I’ve been using this controller for a little while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite tech purchases in recent years.What I love:The build quality feels solid and durable – nothing flimsy at all.Even with a small tablet attached, it stays firmly in place and feels secure.The full-size design makes it much more comfortable than those small telescopic grips.Controls are responsive, joysticks and triggers feel smooth, and the overall experience is close to using a real console controller.You can keep playing while charging, which is super convenient.Things to keep in mind:With a tablet it can feel a bit heavy after very long sessions, but that’s expected.Make sure your device’s case doesn’t get in the way of the fit or the charging port.Bottom line:If you’re looking for a controller that’s sturdy, comfortable, and works great even with a small tablet, this is an excellent choice. I’ve been a fan of Android gaming controllers for a while now, and the S9 is the newest one I’ve tried. What I really liked right away is how quiet it is. I have two toddlers, so I play most of my games while they’re asleep. A loud, clicky controller just wouldn’t work, and thankfully, this one is nice and quiet. No loud clacks when I’m pulling off combos or doing quick movements.I tested it with my Galaxy S22 Ultra, and also (for fun) with the Tab S9 Ultra, which is basically a slab of glass the size of a cutting board. It honestly looks kind of hilarious docked into the controller, but it fit. You do have to pop it out of the default slot, but once it’s in, it holds fine. Realistically, for using with a large tablet, you are better off plugging the controller into a battery bank and use it in bluetooth mode or some kind of usb c extension cable.I mainly play retro stuff. I tried Super Mario World (a Kaizo version), Street Fighter III: Third Strike, and Brotato for something a little more modern. I’ve been using Joy Cons for years, so switching to a full sized controller was weird at first. The buttons felt huge in comparison. It took me a little while to adjust, especially with Third Strike where I had trouble pulling off EX moves (you have to hit two punches or kicks at the same time). At first I kept messing up, but after some time, I was landing them consistently. Same with diagonals, I had a few slip-ups early on, but that mostly went away as I got used to the feel.In Mario World, I didn’t notice any issues. The dpad felt fine, no accidental spins or missed inputs. Everything felt solid.Is it my favourite controller ever of all time? Probably not. It’s a little bigger than I’d prefer, but I also get that it’s supposed to be a full-size controller, and it does that well. I didn’t mess with the swappable d-pads or accessories yet. I might at some point, but so far the default setup has been totally fine for me.Overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to. It’s quiet, it works, and as a bonus, it can hold a 13-inch tablet without breaking a sweat. It might look ridiculous doing it, but hey, it works.

Very happy with this purchase. I use it with my iPad mini 6, and it works great. I mostly stream from steam, and it works exactly how i hoped. it feels like a quality gamepad, and all the buttons are responsive and feel nice One note, it seems like it might have some sort of battery or something in it, my iPad detects it as having a battery. it does get warm while charging with the passthrough plug.

Great controller! Super easy to plug and play. Really flexible in terms of usability. Tried with emulators and streaming games. Triggers and sticks feel super smooth. Buttons and d-pad have a nice tactility.Glad to have the pass through charging.Was priced better than some other competitors. Would highly recommend.

Use ours with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9. The initial fit on the bare tablet was very poor because of the USB-C port. The USB connector on abxylute S9 is way too long, while the Tab A9 has a port too far towards the back surface. This resulted in a very loose fit and awkward gaps all around that even the supplied spacers failed to fix.Eventually remedied the problem by using a basic TPU case on the tablet. This allowed for a perfect fit of the USB connectors and the grips of both sides.In game, the sticks and buttons feel great with immediate response and no lag. Mostly used with Steam Link and Luna. Occasional native Minecraft. The pass-through charging port is a godsend, you can play forever.
