I have the original S9 controller, so once I learned of Abxylute made a successor without the USB-C port I had to try it out. Both are amazing controllers for games such as Wuthering Waves- doubly so for iPhone users. Below are my pros/cons with the S8. The top controller is the S8 while the bottom controller is the S9 for size reference.Pros+ No USB-C port makes it universal to older iPhones that use the lightning cable and for the Switch tablet. Much easier to handle than the Switch joycons.+ Tactile buttons and clicks feel like the Xbox/PS5 buttons. I've tried the backbone one controller, and it doesn't feel as good compared to this.+ Button placement is perfect thumb reach distance, especially for those with large hands.Cons:- The S8 isn't as comfortable since it's slightly bigger due to having a battery in it.- Right joystick placement is lower than the S9Overall:For the price this is an excellent and well-made controller for iPhone. I highly recommend it if you're a casual mobile gamer. Right now, I am alternating between the two controllers as I can't decide which one I like more. Either way, this will make the gaming experience more pleasant than just using the on-screen buttons. Once you get one you can never go back!I am giving it a 5 star because I believe the cons listed are more preferencial in my opinion. Overall the design is sold and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap.

Best handheld gaming I’ve ever bought, easy to take anywhere with you can use it with and iPhone or a tablet and play multiple games. Truly one of the best investments I’ve made as a gamer this is great

When I got it in the mail I had expectations and it exceeded them once I stated using it. I think it’s comfortable and feels good in the hand. Process fair and anything feels nice. Dpad takes getting used to but I am happy

This controller works great! I've been looking for something like this for a while. I was able to easily pair with my iPad Mini to play retro games on the Delta emulator.The design of the S8 is very good, it fits well in my hands and I really like the combination of black with purple accent color under the thumbsticks. The pairing button has an LED around it as well, which works well to indicate connection status. I really like that the A/B/X/Y buttons are white font as well, it makes it easier if you need to see them in the dark; since I switch between consoles a lot, I tend to forget which buttons are where - so this is helpful for me. I'm also really glad that this comes with Hall effect joysticks built-in; I wish these were built in with every controller so we wouldn't have to worry about stick drift. But either way, this controller has them, so I'm happy.The A/B/X/Y buttons and Left/Right Triggers (LT/RT) have a silent keypress, while the rest of the buttons (as well as D-pad) have clicky/tactile keys with only minimal pressure required to activate them. To me, this is ideal, because I love the sound and feeling that comes from clicky/tactile keys/buttons.Lastly, I really like that this has customizable buttons/layouts you can choose between, and shortcut keys. This is a godsend of a feature for some games that don't let you do any customization; this controller lets you sidestep that issue by configuring it on the controller itself.Highly recommend the S8 for being able to play on the go!

I have been playing with this controller and I am very impressed, not just for the built quality but the versatile and ease of use. So far I have use it with the Nintendo switch and to be honest I feel that the abxylute S8 feels more stable than the joy cons. Needless to say that it makes it more comfortable for longer play session.Connecting the abxylute S8 to a phone is super easy and works out of the box with emulators and games with gamepad support. The app to add custom mapping for games without gamepad support is now available in the Play store and it is very easy to understand, supports plenty of options to give you the best gaming experience on mobile.Highly recommend it, the design is also well done with attention to detail.
